Palm Island Community NAIDOC Concert
20 July, 2009Greetings blog followers
Recently I went on a trip up to Palm Island during NAIDOC week in July to be apart of a three day adventure which will stay with me forever. The three days included catching up with distant relatives, an elders dinner and gala concert and family fun day with the Palm Island Community. I had the pleasure of working with Cathy Freeman, Ray Martin, Angry Anderson (and his lovely wife), Beccy Cole and Will (I.AM) Barton as well as some distinguished local Palm Island singers who can really rock it out! Thanks to Great Big Events and all the organisers for such a great show and a VERY SPECIAL THANKS to the Palm Island Community for having me – I look forward to visiting you some time real soon (maybe a fishin’ trip next one ey?) Enjoy the photo’s folks. Cheers, AJ.

The Dreaming Festival 2009
G’day
Here are some picks from The Dreaming Festival up at the Woodford Folk site just North of Brisbane. Thor and I really had such an awesome gig and we’d really like to thank all the fans who turned out for this one despite the cold – including Glen Skuthorpe who made a surprise visit on the Saturday night. I know we all didn’t want to get off the stage that night and remember we’ll be in and around the country at various gigs in the coming months – make sure you come back and check out the dates on the gig page. Looking forward to catching up soon!
Cheers

Adam James ‘Who’s Counting Anyway’ Single Launch, Brisbane Powerhouse

G’day
Here are some images from the ‘Who’s Counting Anyway’ single launch in June. Backed by a 4 piece, the band was absolutely smokin’ and we had an absolute blast with plenty of people and great music. Remember you can request the single anytime of day and help us by going to www.countrymusicchannel.com.au/ and following the prompts. Hope you enjoy the picks.
Cheers
AJ
